Exciting news, Peachey Roasters will now be sold under the Sivetz brand!! Sivetz roasters were my inspiration when I designed the first Peachey roaster. I'm excited and humbled to be able to work with Michael Barthmus to offer these to a larger audience with a unified control system. Come see us at the Sivetz booth at WOC San Diego. We are heading to WOC San Diego with not one, but two roasters!! Worked around the clock to make this happen.

These curves show 7 different roasts on a Peachey Proton. There are 4 different coffees: two Ethiopians, one Kenyan, and one Tanzanian, including both washed and natural process lots.

Different coffees bring different density, moisture content, and roasting behavior. But the bean temperature curves stay tightly grouped.

That’s because the PLC uses an integrated PID controller to automatically adjust heater output and inlet temperature in order to follow a background bean temperature curve.

The result is more repeatable roasting, batch after batch.

When you’re roasting expensive specialty coffee, consistency matters.
