was established in Pulaski Co. IL on August 19th 2009, located at 210 Glen Hall Drive Mounds, IL. On November 1st. 2009 Britton’s Wrecker Service, Inc., purchased a retiring local competitor’s business, therefore eliminating any competition in it’s class. Location is equipped with a two bay shop, Light, Medium, and Heavy Duty Wreckers, as well as Service Trucks to assist with any of your needs from towing, recovery, breakdowns, fuel deliveries, tire changes, and door unlocks as well. With a positive year after year growth in business in December of 2013 Britton’s Wrecker Service, Inc., ventured out to establish a second business location in Vienna, IL. After successfully renting and operating for 2 years, in the Fall of 2015 Britton’s Wrecker Service, Inc. purchased a shop and property, for a permanent business location in Johnson Co. IL at 6685 US Hwy. 45, Vienna, IL.. The Johnson Co. location has taken off as well as the original location, and is equipped for every task set in it’s path. Britton’s Wrecker Service, Inc has been your go to company in Southern, IL and the Tri-State region for all of your towing and recovery needs since day one. We have been willing to work with every customer, insurance company, and auto club to make every incident as painless and affordable as possible. Our goal is customer satisfaction and quality service, where the end result will be the customer remembers our name and places us above the competition.

Update: The crash has been cleared, and the area has reopened to traffic. Please note: bridge maintenance is underway in this location. The work zone is marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use continued caution while traveling near the area.

Update: Due to traffic volumes, the closure of northbound I-57 will be extended to the Exit 66 interchange at Miner, Missouri. From here, drivers will be directed to Interstate 155 in Pemiscot County.

Northbound Interstate 57 is currently closed from Exit 12 at Charleston, MO to the Mississippi River due to a vehicle crash. Please seek alternate routes. Traffic is being diverted to the 60/62 bridge in Mississippi County or north to the Emerson Bridge/Route 74 in Cape Girardeau County. Duration is unknown at this time.

CAIRO (Alexander Co.) – Troopers are handling a truck fire/crash on I-57 southbound near milepost 1. The Cairo Bridge is shut down in 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 directions. Extended closure is expected. Seek an alternate route.

Avoid I-57 around the 1 milepost near the foot of the IL/Charleston MO bridge. There is a tractor trailer fire we will be recovering. Both sides are shut down currently. We will be working to clear the scene. More updates to come.

Friday, October 2nd from 7pm to 8pm will be the Vienna Fall Parade. We want to advise motorists and local residents for road closures for your travel plans coming into Vienna that evening.

The parade will start at N. 4th and Green St. The parade will travel on Green St. to N. 6th St and then turn south crossing Il Rt 146 (W. Vine) continuing to West Main St. in front of the new courthouse.. The parade will then turn on W Main to the old courthouse square. The parade will stop in front of the Vienna Public Library for the National Anthem and for the Grand Marshal. The parade judges will be at that location as well. The parade will then continue on W Main to US Rt 45 (S. 1st) and turn and travel north on Rt 45 through the four way intersection to the Vienna High School.

US Rt 45 and Il Rt 146 will be closed at N. 6th and the four way intersection for both directions and US Rt 45 at W. Main St North to College St by the Vienna High School for the parade .There will be City side streets closed as well for the parade route.

The City of Vienna is excited for this first night time parade. But, please watch out for children during the parade.
