Time to clean the dryer vent.

Once the dryer was disassembled I found this. If you notice the first drum roller doesn’t spin easily. (Not good) you may be able to see the black rubber dust just under the roller where the drum was rubbing away the drum roller b/c roller was not turning and drum was. This friction results in a noise. Both drum rollers were replaced and the dryer sounds much better.

Ahhh, but don’t be fooled there is also the possibility that during disassembly an unknown foreign object was in fact stuck between the slide bearing and drum and was dislodged during disassembly only to be lost in the dryer lint at the bottom. Common items found consist of coins, paperclips, earrings and screws. Either way the dryer sounds much better and functions like it was designed too.

This was my first thought. See the screw stuck between the drum and “slide bearing” Not it. This is a pic from a different dryer.
