It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own, a young member of the Partners Excavating Co. family, Christopher Lee Cramer.

Though he had only been with us for three months, he made a lasting impression. At just 18 years old, he brought enthusiasm to learn and an excitement for the future. He often spoke about the opportunities ahead of him with those closest to him and the possibility of building a lifelong career.

This loss is felt deeply throughout our company, especially as his family has long been a part of our Partners family. His father, grandfather, and great-uncle all work with us, making this tragedy especially close to our hearts.

Please keep his family, friends, and coworkers in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The family has invited friends to join them in celebrating his life at the KOA Campground in Verona, VA, on Saturday, August 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

We are grateful for the time we had with him and will remember his smile, his ambition, and the bright future that lay ahead.

Last month our HR & Safety Departments had a fantastic afternoon learning from the Harrisonburg Police Department's K-9 team!

Officers Cody Burgoon, Chandler Thomas, and Eric Hummel gave us an inside look at the training, commitment, and teamwork that goes into developing successful K-9 partnerships. We also had the pleasure of meeting K-9 officers Zeus and Riggs, who demonstrated just how important they are in supporting law enforcement efforts.
