Twenty three Glenn Miller 78 RPM records all on the bluebird label. All are in excellent condition, some need a little cleaning. I did not play these records nor did I clean them. This is somebody's collection and now I'm putting it up for sale.

I'm going through my 78's. I'm hoping to sell some. Please look through the pictures on my page. The records I past are, what I think, are rare. I think there rare, because I can't find any examples on Discogs or eBay.
I have about 40 boxes full of 78rpm records, check out the cover picture on my page. I went through about five boxes. As I said the ones I think are rare are going on Facebook. So, please keep checking back.
I haven't decided what to do with the 78rpm records I think are common. Of the five boxes I've been through, I have for boxes of common records. Are there any ideas out there?

I'm trying to figure out how to sell 78 rpm records on Facebook. I'm going to post pictures of 78 RPM records, an offer them for sell.

What do collectors collect.? Collectors collect labels, titles, artists there's all kinds of different reasons people collect.

I'm posting pictures of 78 RPM records. They will be different labels, different artists, different genres. Most of them will be fairly rare, in other words I can't find them on discog, they may be on eBay, but all of them have sold in the past.

I don't know what people are paying so look through the pictures. Make me an offer. Bunch then up. Just pay the shipping. Some records will cost more, but make that offer and we'll go from there.

I've ship lots of 78 RPM records. Here's how I do it, sandwich the record between two pieces of 10 inch square cardboard, called spacers. I'll tape the four sides together. I'll get a 12 by 12 by 4 inch box. I'll put 2 inches of popcorn or packing peanuts in the bottom your records in the middle and 2 inches of packing peanuts on top. Shipping cost $5 for 1 pound. That covers the cost of the shipping materials and Media Mail. I don't know what the cost is for more than one pound, but as long as you cover the initial packing supplies, I will charge actual shipping, plus the $2 for the packing supplies. So, the more you buy the cheaper it is.

Check out the pictures and see what you want.

Side two, does not. I got a picture of the place the record gets stuck.
This record was loved for many years. If someone wants to save it from the trash heap, send me an offer via messager.

Do you know what I did to make this play? After I cleaned it, when I played it I found a few skips. I call skips where the record repeats itself. I got out my microscope and found the skips. Then I took a needle and cleaned out the groove.
I can hear where the skips were, but I'll bet you can't tell. That's right, I fixed this record, just to see if I could.
I've been watching YouTube videos. There's other things I want to try to make a record sound better. It'll be fun if it works as well as I saw it work on YouTube.
There's a record just like this on Discog for sale for $256. I don't think he'll get that price. On eBay this record sell for between $10 and $30, that's a sold price. I have this one at $16.

People are asking how do I clean 78rpm records?
First, never use alcohol bleach or any other household cleaner are solvents. All that stuff dissolves the shellac, and your record won't play.
Here's how I clean a 78rpm record:
Get an empty one quart spray bottle of any surface cleaner from around the house. Rinse the bottle with tap water thoroughly. I leave it upside down in the sink drain overnight to dry out.
Take your clean and dry one quart spray bottle and fill it with DISTILLED water. Gotta be distilled! Then add a sq**rt of Dawn dishsoap, mix it up gently.
Now lay a cloth bath towel on the counter. Put the record on top, sq**rt your new record cleaner liberally on the record. Take a brush, lots of people use a soft bristle toothbrush, and scrub. I use a vintage boars hair, hair brush, more surface area and it'll clean faster. You'll see the suds and dirt come up, and you'll see a big difference when done properly. If you didn't get all the crud, clean it again. You won't hurt the record. Wipe off all the suds and let dry. You don't need to rinse, it'll wipe clean. It'll dry fast too.
Next play the record and hear the difference. You don't have to clean your records very often, maybe once every fifty years. Keep your records in a paper sleeve, store them upright and they'll be fine for another 50 years or so.
I got my cleaning recipe from a very old retried DJ who has a 78rpm collection that'll put all of you to share. I'll add the pictures, I showed in a previous post, to show how good my cleaning recipe cleans records.

78rpm records are old! Most are at least 70 years old. Many are over 100 years old. It's important to clean your records.
Back in the 1950's, everyone smoked ci******es AND that smoke along with years of dust, grime and even cooking grease have settled in the grooves. Running your record player needle over that crud will gum up your turntable and make it worthless.
I have a microscope I can attach to my computer and phone, I wanted to see if cleaning the records really helps. I was surprised at what a difference cleaning the records can make.
Children's records are always the cruddiest, because kids are messy. Here's a before and after pictures of the groves in the same location. You can clearly see the difference.
