⚡️ Another one solved for a loyal customer! ⚡️

Customer was dealing with a soft start constantly throwing faults on a 125HP water pump motor. After digging in, we monitored amperage and found a phase imbalance on Phase A.

Tracked it down to a loose connection inside the motor, which was causing the issue. While onsite, we also found a few other problems that needed attention:
✔️ Undersized power supply on the control side
✔️ Incorrect soft start settings & trip parameters
✔️ No surge protection on incoming 480V power

What we did:
🔧 Repaired the loose motor connection
🔧 Installed a properly sized 24V power supply for the control circuit
🔧 Adjusted soft start settings for proper operation
🔧 Recommended surge protection for long-term reliability

Now the system is running smooth and reliable

🚨 Emergency Call 🚨

Customer reported buzzing and humming coming from the main panel along with a burning smell — never a good sign.

This is a common issue with older “humpback” breakers. Over time, they can fail internally, and you often won’t see the damage until the breaker is removed. In many cases, the breaker begins to overheat and can even start welding itself to the bus bar.

We removed the damaged breaker and replaced it safely to prevent further risk.

⚡ We also upgraded the system with whole-home surge protection — helping protect today’s modern appliances and bringing the home up to current code standards.

Industrial job completed by Aldridges Enterprises Electrical Services ⚡️

This project involved upgrading a 480V breaker disconnect for a rock breaker system. We removed a weathered, damaged disconnect enclosure and an outdated three-phase starter that was operating with undersized wiring feeding a hydraulic motor.

Installed a new, properly rated breaker disconnect and pulled in new copper conductors sized to safely handle the required amperage. The starter overloads were also set to match the motor’s correct operating specifications—ensuring reliable performance and proper protection in a demanding industrial environment.

In this line of work, downtime is the opportunity to get ahead. Making critical repairs and upgrades on down days helps keep production moving when it matters most.
