We’re so excited to share some tangible progress happening right now in Lake Shastina. This isn't just talk: it's real groundwork being laid for the housing mission we all believe in.

Building community starts with the essentials. We’ve officially moved into the utility and site prep phase. We believe in being transparent with our neighbors, so here is the estimate for this next phase of land prep:

Total Phase Estimate: ~$24,000
(Includes utility hookups, professional surveys, and lot clearing)

The papers are filed and the vision is anchored.
Ohana Mālamalama is official, and we are moving straight into the building phase.

This isn’t about legal structures or corporate distinctions: it’s about the real work.
We’re moving from vision to dirt.

What’s next?
We are currently securing quotes for utility hookups, land surveys, and clearing for our first three units in Lake Shastina.
This is where the heavy lifting happens.

We’ve made incredible progress, but we need more funds to keep this momentum going and get these foundations poured.

Siskiyou County, we are deeply moved. The response to Ohana Connect has been nothing short of soulful. We’re seeing local business owners standing up for each other, keeping dollars local, and joining the mission to fund Ohana Mālamalama: our sister mission providing affordable housing and family stability right here at home.

Because we believe every member deserves a true Ohana welcome: not just a transaction: we’re catching our breath.
