This was the only thing she had left from her time in Italy. It was recently sent to her new home when she moved. They opened the box and saw that it was broken. Her adult son "threw it away"........
He actually brought it to me, and I fixed it. On her birthday..... she opened her present and saw the restored piece..... then she cried.
