Ditching in water and power. Normally it’s not desirable to dig this close to pavement but due to the extreamly steep terrain it was the only option. We were able to excavate the ditch with no damage to the asphalt. Once the water line was installed and the power line laid we back filled the ditch in 8” lifts and mechanically compacted the dirt to ensure there would be no future problems with the shoulder of the road.

This was a neat job to do. The home owners had a steep muddy bank that was close to their house. They Initially wanted more room. Not only were we able to expand their parking area but we also left the bank on a more desireable slope that will hold mulch and also added some accent stones to take it from eye sore to a focal point at their home.
