When Rosie Kramer, the Community Relations Partner for TTCU Federal Credit Union, learned about a female veteran who was discharged from the hospital without a ride home, she knew something needed to be done.
Moved by the veteran's predicament, TTCU decided to step up and make a difference. As a result, they generously donated $200.00 worth of Uber gift cards to the Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE) Voluntary Services. This generous donation aims to ensure that all veterans have a safe and reliable way to get home after being discharged.
Rosie Kramer highlighted the community spirit behind this gesture, saying, "We owe a lot to our veterans, and it is our pleasure to support them in any way we can. Their sacrifice and service are invaluable, and ensuring they have a safe ride home is the least we can do."
This thoughtful contribution underscores TTCU’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of veterans. The donation not only provides immediate help to veterans in need but also strengthens the ongoing partnership between community organizations and the CDCE, showing a collective dedication to supporting those who have served our country.
Candice Jordan, the Chief of CDCE, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thank you, TTCU, for standing with us in this mission. Your partnership is a powerful example of what we can achieve together.” She added, “If you or your organization would like to donate to this cause, Uber cards are graciously accepted to positively impact the Veteran experience in Eastern Oklahoma.
