Kyle Burkey is the dedicated owner and operator of Burkey Milling and Woodworking, a family-run business specializing in custom milling and woodworking. With 8 years of experience, Kyle has led the operation of a local sawmill, transforming raw timber into high-quality lumber. Under his leadership, Burkey Milling and Woodworking has proudly served over 150 clients, blending craftsmanship with a personal touch. The Burkey family is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, reflecting their commitment to quality and those it serves.

The most rewarding aspect of running this business is witnessing the incredible projects our clients bring to life using our lumber. We enjoy seeing the entire journey, from trees standing in the woods and timber being processed, to dimensional lumber being cut and finally, the completed structures or projects. This summer alone, we’ve milled over 3,000 boards. To put it in perspective, an average 8-foot log cut into 1x10x8 planks yields about 8 to 14 boards. We’ve worked with more than 10 different species of wood, each adding its unique character to the finished product.
