Yesterday, Ampersand Founder & Principal Heather Meshell joined Sen. Kerry Roberts and Rep. Bob Freeman for the Vanderbilt Project on Prosecution Policy’s Bipartisan Criminal Justice Legislation panel.

The Sexual Assault Center welcomed Mayor O’Connell, Vice Mayor Henderson, and members of the Metro Council this month for a tour of our Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (S.A.F.E.) Clinic. We were grateful for the opportunity to share how Metro Nashville’s support helps facilitate healing for survivors of sexual violence.

The S.A.F.E. Clinic operates 24/7, providing compassionate, trauma-informed care and support to survivors whenever they need it.

I recently had the chance to hear Evane Stoner’s journey. As a former client of Our Kids, her story is nothing short of inspiring.
