Katya Brewington, M.Ed., LPC/MHSP/S, NCC, ACS is the owner and CEO of Brewington, LLC and Cedar Tree Wellness Center. She has provided counseling services to individuals, couples/families, and groups since 2003. She works with children 6 years of age and older, adolescents, and adults. Her approach is eclectic, primarily based on person-centered, family systems, cognitive-behavioral, and trauma-informed cognitive-behavioral models. Katya specializes in trauma, PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, behavioral, marital, and parenting issues. She has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy and assessments in her work. Additionally, Katya has provided licensure supervision to new practitioners since 2011. Katya holds a Master’s degree in counseling from Vanderbilt University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider/Approved Supervisor in Tennessee, National Certified Counselor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor. She has received extensive training in working with individuals who have experienced a traumatic event and is certified by the American Red Cross to work in areas of natural disaster. Katya is a member of the American Counseling Association, Tennessee Counseling Association, Tennessee Mental Health Counselors Association, and Chi Sigma Iota, an international honor society for students, professional counselors and counselor educators.
