đź’Ą "Leadership without self-awareness is like sailing without a compass." đź§
I used to think being a strong leader meant having all the answers. But early in my leadership journey, I realized I was making decisions based on my own style—without understanding how it impacted others.
One team member finally said, “I don’t always know what you expect from me.” That moment hit hard.
It wasn’t a skills problem. It was a self-awareness problem.
Since then, I’ve learned that knowing yourself is the first step to leading others well. Tools like the DISC assessment helped me understand my strengths, my stress responses, and how to better connect with those I lead.
Self-awareness doesn’t make leadership easy—but it makes it meaningful.
