Squarespace recently added an AI visibility tool, and when you first open it, it may be easy to confuse it for an AI optimization (or AEO/GEO) tool, but that’s not what it’s doing.

This tool gives you information about how your businesses are appearing to AI search.

Today I’m going to give you three things you need to understand before using this tool.

The first thing is what is the tool and where do you find it.

The second thing is the actual prompts you feed the tool.

The final thing is how to interpret the results that the tool gives you.

Don’t take any negative results as meaning your business is totally invisible. As I talked about last week, I’m already getting results from ChatGPT, and those results are bringing me real leads.

This is just a snapshot of a few results that we can use to study the impact of a website and where it can be improved.

I’m going to run some more prompts now that I know what this tool can do and next week we’ll look at a clearer image of where I’m not showing up and what action items I need to implement to remedy any gaps in search visibility.

Now that I'm using Squarespace's AI Visibility tool to understand how my clients are seeing my business, what do I need to do to improve my results?

By understanding how the AI Visibility tool works and the default prompts that Squarespace puts together, I can build more specific searches that work with what I want my business to be known for.

Only then can I adjust my site, branding, and business to better fit what my clients are looking for and really take advantage of the great leads coming in through ChatGPT and other AI search engines.

Daniel Donato website rebrand for the release of ‘Ryman to Robert’s’ 💙

Daniel describes Cosmic Country as a meeting point between Nashville honky-tonk and an improvisational spirit—a sound that bridges traditional country influences with something entirely his own. The website was designed to do the same visually: pulling directly from the artwork surrounding his latest release while creating a functional online home for everything happening in the world of Cosmic Country.
