AI search is not looking for the loudest business in the room.
It is looking for the most understood one.

Large language models want to know who the authority is in your space. If your digital presence is scattered, inconsistent or confusing, AI simply will not recommend you.

Authority positioning is not optional anymore. It is the difference between showing up and disappearing.

I am very forward about how my husband and I suffered a catastrophic business loss in 2014. We were under funded, did not know what we did not know, and simply made mistakes. BUT, during this time, we LEARNED more than could have ever been given to us through success.

I miss back-in-the-day in the early 2000s when you could sit in ONE day and plan out your entire year's marketing:
- Yellowbook
- Radio ads
- Billboard (if you were fancy)
- Direct mail

Now?!?!? Online ad spend can be as bad as working the slot machine at the casino. How much money, time, and effort are needed to make an impact?

I am TIRED of the fake hustle.

I am EXHAUSTED by the bright shiny object of clickbait and tactics that are only intended by others to make a quick $$$.

Welcome to my mini-rant in the most recent Just Get to Work podcast for 'What Makes a Good Hustle?'. Please be entertained as I may explode if another so-called expert offers their course to me promising 8-figures if I only follow their 24.5 steps over 1,294 hours of content that I have to swim through...

I am not a bizzilionaire, but I can say that I have worked hard to keep my priorities in order. I have my faith, I have my family, and then I have everything else.

A good hustle is one that does not feel or act like a hustle. It is when you can provide authentic value through relationships that you take great joy in having. Now go get to work.

Hard truth is that getting to work is also about the relationships in our lives.

I had to learn this lesson at age 6 when my father left our family for someone else. I don't say this out of trauma or attention seeking, but the reality of how each one of us can pinpoint that first person who royally disappointed us.

BUT HERE IS THE BLESSING... The real story starts when you pick yourself back up again and move full force forward in all blessings you have been given and can share with others.

Don't avoid the hard relationships, learn from them and decide how to do better. Don't let bad or mishandled relationships be the distraction.

I am NOT for soft parenting... just ask my kids! :-)

However, I am all about COMMUNICATION as you parent. There are many hard 'no's' we give our children out of love and important boundaries as they grow. However, if there is not a clear trust through communication as they get older about WHY these boundaries exist and that they are through love, your relationship will break down.

Here is a clip from my Just Get to Work podcast release from last week where I dig into how as parents, we need to know when to look inward and improve our communication skills. There are many times when 'because I said so' is valid in the moment, but there are SO many more beautiful times where you can dive deep into conversations with your children that help mold their ability to be incredible humans.
