Fun fact use only speed #2 for kneading bread, usually I do for 8 min unless the recipe says a shorter time. Higher speeds make more stress and wear on gears to wear out faster.

This was a first seeing a melted cover on the motherboard. Thankfully the board tested good and we had a spare cover we switched out to make adjusting the speeds easier.

This is a good reminder to remember to watch how hot our motors get when we are mixing heavier doughs.

Mixing tip!!!

If it’s been more than a few days since you last used your mixer, let it run on low speed (1) for two to three minutes to allow the lubricant solids and liquids to recombine. This will help keep your mixer running smoothly.

Remember over loading your mixer will strain it and cause for repair, quick chart to print out or keep handy.

Today I got to not only fix a mixer, but to keep memories alive. This was a customers grandfather’s mixer and asked if we could fix it. Unfortunately the planetary had become loose and fell off. With a lot love, skills, and some repair. Grandpa’s mixer is fixed, and greased to continue making new memories and great recipes. Thanks for letting us help keep memories going.
