Reclaiming the land one beaver dam at a time!!

🌿These beavers had flooded 8 acres of timber that is in a CRP program. 🌳🌲The landowner has fault these beavers for 10 years. We cleaned out 16 beaver dams. We Took out the beavers and had 23 snakes catch us by surprise.
After other companies said they couldn’t get to it because of how soft the ground was we were able to complete the project in a timely matter while staying in budget!!

After clearing a path into all the beaver dams we removed the brush from the creek, forestry mulched all the debris then forestry mulched a 1/4 acer for deer Plots that the landowner will enjoy..

This was an enjoyable project!

✅ A little pasture reclamation completed a few months back‼️

Just wrapped up a powerful Sunday—grateful for the Word, the worship, and the reminder that growth takes patience, faith, and consistency. 🌱

Now it’s time to get back to clearing paths—both spiritually and on the land. Today we’re back at it turning property into clean, usable space.

Back in November, we brought this pond back to life 💪🌿

What started as a silt-filled, worn-down pond that wouldn’t hold water very well is now fully rebuilt and filled with water — we mucked it out, restored the core ditch, and rebuilt the levee. It’s always satisfying to see hard work pay off!

Most ponds don’t suddenly become shallow. It happens slowly, in a way that’s easy to miss at first.

From the shoreline, everything can look the same. The water is still there, the surface appears normal, and nothing feels urgent enough to question. But beneath that surface, the system is quietly changing.

With every rainfall, more than just water enters the pond. Soil, organic material, and nutrients move in from the surrounding land and begin to settle along the bottom. At first, the impact is subtle; almost unnoticeable. Over time, those small inputs start to accumulate, gradually taking up space the pond once had to function.

The pond isn’t losing water. It’s losing depth.

As that depth decreases, the way the entire system behaves begins to shift. Shallower water warms faster, oxygen becomes less stable, and the conditions that once supported healthy fish growth begin to narrow. What seems like a simple change in depth slowly turns into a change in the entire ecosystem.

That’s why ponds that once performed well can start to feel different over time. It’s rarely caused by one event. It’s the result of something that has been building quietly beneath the surface for years.
