The Bloomfield Township Police Department is launching the Extra Eyes program. This program is gaining popularity nationally. The program allows residents and businesses to voluntarily register their exterior camera systems with the Police Department.
In the event of criminal activity in the area, the Police Department may contact registrants and ask them to review their camera footage to see if any activity was captured by their cameras. Participation in this program is voluntary and the Police Department will never have direct access to the camera system.
