It’s locals summer here in Rhode Island.
For the next few weeks, the weather remains hot and humid but the beaches are a lot less full and dinner reservations are easier to get.

Duck confit, and lobster? The combo I wasn’t expecting to love SO much!
Jo's American Bistro in Newport is a staple. Beloved by locals and visitors alike, it’s been serving heart warming American bistro fare for more than two decades in downtown Newport.
We of course adored the duck and lobster quesadilla , along with a couple of other standouts. The house made sausage orcchetti pasta was fantastic, and the burrata ravioli was fresh and bright. A personal favorite was the carmelized onion bacon jam burger, too good not to try.
