The mid summer floral show is on point and does not disappoint. Each season brings beauty and balance and through all the projects and punch lists, we stop and admire the color, shape, diversity of plant life growing here, supporting a host of insects, birds, and other wildlife who call this land home. Robyn from Park Ridge Organics stopped by the farm and we were able to discuss our operations and how farming perennials versus farming annuals is different. We chatted farm finance, work flows, and big picture business planning. I am so grateful she is willing to share her experience and insights with me as we navigate year two of being grower/producers with both farming and value added products (wine!) in our scope of work. Hats off to all the agriculture business mentors out there. Thank you for your commitment to the next generation of farm entrepreneurs.
