Tonight was the 34th Annual Induction Ceremony for the Louisiana Political Museum & Hall of Fame .
Tonight we honored an extraordinary group of political leaders, journalists, strategists, and public servants from all political parties and backgrounds.
The evening was hosted by The Honorable Billy Nungesser, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Louisiana, and Mr. Randy Haynie, Chairman of the Board of the Louisiana Political Museum.
This distinguished induction class represents decades of leadership, service, and influence that have shaped Louisiana’s political, civic, and journalistic landscape at the local, state, and national levels.

TSA workers are protecting us without pay for the third time in 12 months. They have mortgages, bills, and families to feed. The least we can do is say thank you.

We will continue to fight until Sickle Cell Disease receives fair and equal access for medical treatment.

We have a long way to go, but we are making strides in the nation’s capital and state capital’s across the south.

Special thanks to our Congressional champions – Senators Tim Scott (R-SC), Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Representatives John James (R-MI-10), Danny Davis
D-IL-07), Jen Kiggans (R-VA-2), Troy Carter (D-LA-2) and Marc Veasy (D-TX-33) for helping to get this bill across the finish line.

The Sickle Cell Disease and Other Heritable Blood Disorders Research, Surveillance, Prevention, and Treatment Act (H.R. 1796/S. 735) which reauthorizes the HRSA SCD Treatment Demonstration Program for another five years.

We have been working to advance this legislation since it was introduced in the 118th Congress – thank you to all who have advocated for this legislation thru your support, prayers and advocacy.
