Tried to edit videos. Got tilted. Gave up.

Let’s be real: 2024 kind of sucked! Today, I committed to a full-reset. I strong may believe that resolutions are incredibly impactful IF they aren’t dumb. Aka, SMART.

I made a list of goals for the year, and I wanted to encourage some of yall to do the same. So I built out this neat little SMART Reso doc to guide you in planning a heck of a year. Big plans for 2025. What if you had a playbook defining every step to start a low cost side hustle? What kind of business would you build?

I’ve got some goals for my winter break. A side hustle, if you will. Plans like (1) publish a book, (2) start offering workshops to help people start a revenue generating business, (3) inspire people to chase a career that empowers freedom.

Feeling honored to have been invited to speak at Highlands Economic Partnership this morning for Highlands Leadership group.

I shared state of the art research and led a brainstorming session on improving productivity throughout the slow months of summer. We came up with many great office, employee, and personal strategies to improve engagement = satisfaction = productivity.

Hit me up if you want to learn more about avoiding the [self-titled] PVSD (post vacation stress disorder) - aka, the mountain of work that awaits you after PTO, negating the relaxing vacation you just enjoyed! I do workshops, public speaking, 1-on-1 coaching, and full consulting on all things productivity//engagement.

Fun Fact: office productivity is reduced by $2/hour/employee when the AC is outside of the comfort zone (it literally pays to pay the AC bill!).

Valentina is an ambitious business student who just opened physical location in Mount Juliet, TN.

For over a year, I’ve been enjoying consulting with her on revenue generation and staff augmentation strategies to support the new expansion.

Here I am, attending a ribbon cutting, proud as pickles over my student’s success, and I run into my fellows Dr. Valerie King and Dr Eric Landis who also pour equal if not more support, encouragement, and expertise into our students. It made me double proud.

Your has a . Sure, the pandemic and inflation and the millions of other reasons play a role, but may be as simple as a very minor change that can make a very major impact. It’s so obvious, and yet, so undervalued. You’ll have to read to find the secret, but here’s a hint:

It’s better to be a big fish in a little pond than a little fish in a big pond.

If your marketing team has not done this, they are missing the one single secret that will make every effort gain more traction. What used to work is no longer the case. When is the last time you really looked at your strategy? It is time for a change. Here's a hint: less is more.
