I don't think everyone needs to obtain AI mastery.

Some need to learn to delegate to someone who knows how to use AI.

If you're a manager or individual contributor, yes.

An executive who doesn't have a lot of time or technical knowledge, no.

That's why you have a team.

Stay focused on strategic initiatives, not which LLM is buzzing this week.

I read this morning that the Yoast SEO's co-founder created controversy around whether WordPress CMS is needed.

Many will hear that and think WordPress is dead.

I read: In many cases a WordPress CMS is overkill.

That is not "all cases" and for the majority of folks I know, it's not their case.

A simple static site has its place. Yes, you can vibe code it.

But be sure to fully understand what he actually said, and whether it applies to you. If you're not a dev or a vibe coder, maybe not.

A one-click WP install with a landing page plugin may be great for you. Or you may opt for a different solution.

It's been said, "Everything ain't for everybody" and just like a fully built out WordPress isn't for everybody, neither is a static Astro site.

Why would I build a press release app?

It continues to be the problem people come to me for.

They knew I had been writing for agencies.

They knew I had taught DIY PR.

They hired me as for digital marketing and wanted to add in PR.

But it took a lot of time to produce at scale.

There had to be a better way and several attempts later, here we are.

I've fixed other marketing problems with technology, and those features may end up in Press Release Pro.

But if you're an early stage founder, you can use it to cut out that part of your job.

I'll even step in and help you and you'll join a community of other people using tech to solve their business problems.

There's a lot of AI buzz but they've forgotten to mention that with all that so-called AI productivity, there's a lot more WORK for you to do.

Yeah, you aren't hiring other folks, but my dearest Bozo, you're the clown doing everything.

And unless you were a really organized, productive, effective worker before, you just shot yourself in the foot.

You can scale ops with AI, but if you're already overwhelmed, you need to SUBTRACT and STRUCTURE things, rather than add CVS-receipt length ChatGPT responses full of strategy that theoretically works, but never happens because you're hopscotching between roles with a Superman cape on.

Subtract some of what you think you need to be doing.

Structure things by what you think is bureaucracy but actually helps you get stuff done WELL, like feasibility studies, resource allocation, and a legit project management workflow with sprints and retrospectives to make sure the main thing stays the main thing.

Tag a friend who just joined to let them know they are hustling backwards.

I don't want ads in ChatGPT...

But here's why it makes sense.

Social media ads are everywhere, and we go blind after so much frequency.

In ChatGPT, I've noticed for a while now that they'll keep asking for all these annoying confirmations that I can't imagine is more efficient than working with a human.

BUT, we keep confirming, and keep getting output.

How long does this conversation go?

Until you stop confirming.

So you're locked in until you are considering smashing the screen with a hammer because HOW MANY CONFIRMATIONS DO YOU NEED BEFORE GIVING ME THE THING?

Remember one ask, one output? Those were the days.

Here's where ads come in.

We're a captive audience. We are locked into our chat much longer than we are on a Reel.

They've already extracted our brains into their memory. They know everything about us because we consult it on everything and we've integrated it with our daily apps and soon MyChart.

So if I'm trying to get a simple slide deck based off a video transcript, ten minutes into my confirmations, I could be fed ads related to everything I've been saying during this effort to deliver my asset.

It knows I'm irritated.

It knows I have hypertension and diabetes and ulcers and that I need to tell my team a thing or two because I'd asked it to sanitize an email about Sally's comments during today's meeting.

So I'll get an ad for something to relax me and help me sleep better.

More time. More ads.

More data. More ads.

I don't look forward to this AT ALL but we've accepted ads on streaming platforms after cutting the cord.

We'll soon accept ads in our AI chatbots.
