The last of many Deluxe Reverbs I have serviced in New Orleans. This was a totally original (including tubes and dust cover) 1973 that came in for some rehab when it started smoking. After recapping, blackfacing, new power and reverb driver tubes, and some general cleaning and hardware tightening, this one is ready for another 46 years.

This is the second or third that I have serviced. Each has been a Fender inspired circuit, with a very unconventional building style. Thick aluminum chassis with everything locally grounded makes it really clean looking inside. These are some of the lowest noise amps I’ve ever encountered despite the unorthodox grounding scheme.

CE-1 interior. I’ve seen som classic effects, but this is my first time one of these has crossed my bench.
