CMF Consulting, Safety & Training Providing information and training for the safety of your business, employees, home and family

After 25 years in Law Enforcement, I have combined my training and experience into training sessions for personal and business/school safety. For your personal safety, I will customize a safety plan for you and your family based on your individual needs. I will also develop an emergency plan in case of fire and/or other emergencies. For your business, church, or school, a customized plan will be d

eveloped based on your individual needs. Since all businesses, churches and schools are different in size, location, number of employees, etc., the information provided and safety concerns will be addressed with input from management and employees.

Here's a tip:

Is your address easily viewed from the street? In case of an emergency, seconds can be crucial. If emergency responders can't find your address, you are wasting valuable time.

Your home address should be near the front entrance, well lit or reflective for after dark. The numbers should be easy to read (not so fancy the numbers are hard to distinguish) and placed high enough so they won't be covered (i.e. Leaves, bushes, snow, etc.)

Stay safe.

I'd like to thank the Broadmoor Improvement Association for allowing me to speak at their board meeting this evening. I provided some safety tips for the residents that attended and hope to provide some additional training in the future.

In the December 22, 2015 edition of the Gambit, Robert Morris wrote, "Diagnosis: Epidemic", referring to the crime in New Orleans and what experts believe are the root causes.

Do you live in, work in, or go out in New Orleans? Do you feel safe?

In my opinion, crime is out of control and the police department doesn't have the manpower to adequately protect its citizens. You must be prepared and aware of your surroundings at all times.

Don't get me wrong, I love New Orleans, and its problems aren't confined to the city, it extends to the surrounding parishes.

Everyone should invest in training themselves and their families to be better prepared to increase their odds of not becoming a victim.

Does your children's school provide any training to the teachers and staff on what to do if there is any actual threat? Is your police department available to provide the training in case of an active shooter? If not, who can provide the training? The answer is: I can.

Are you prepared if someone enters your home/business and attacks you? This video shows some techniques on fighting back. I recommend that if escape is possible, its the better option then trying to fight a bigger attacker. Don't ever give up, it can cost you your life!
