First job back in the water after my alligator encounter. I came out unscathed

Hey y’all Skooba here. So this job was my first back in the water after my alligator encounter. I’m not gonna lie I was highly vigilant and a little nervous because I know we have another big alligator sighting on Top sail and I’m right down the street over on Floramar in Gulf Harbors. No alligator in sight thank God, I had to get back to what I love doing and I do best…. fixing your pilings and doing dock repair.

OK so this just happened, never been more scared in my entire life. Doing scuba diving and dock Work for the past few years I’ve had the privilege of swimming with dolphins, manatees coming up to me playing hide and seek and swimming with all kind of fish but this is the first time ever as I’m under a dock inspecting it did an approximate 6’ alligator come up out of the water brush my arm and go right toward my face. I was 6 inches away face-to-face staring at a gator under a dark collapsed dock. As I quickly flew back and got out of the water the homeowner confirmed that there’s been two gators pretty much living under the dock. Would’ve been nice to know that ahead of time lol. But everything is all good he didn’t open his mouth and try to bite me I think he was as scared as I was he was more interested in what I was doing in his home. Here’s the pic of him sticking his head up. Oh my God I’ve never been more scared in my life. This is the reason every time I jump in the water I do the sign of the cross I look up toward the heavens and say OK Lord if today’s my day it’s my day but please don’t make it be my day and keep me safe.
