Currently, pepperspray laws in NYS say you cannot purchase pepperspray from anyone other than a Federal Fi****ms Dealer or a pharmacist. You are not allowed to order pepperspray online or have it shipped to your home.

The pepperspray in NYS must also be of a certain formula that is less than the current federal standard meaning it won’t be as affective.

UV dyes are also banned in NYS, which allows law enforcement a better opportunity to identify and catch assailants.

Crime in NYS, especially amongst women has been unpredictable, common, and unprovoked.

The amazing people at safely have started this petition.l to help change these oppressing laws in NYS.

Stop limiting the ways women are able to protect themselves…your sexism is showing.
