Lot 7984: Antique Persian Heriz/Serapi Rug 8’10” x 11’4” (2.69 x 3.45 M). This Serapi-level Heriz medallion carpet features a pointed navy field with a red palmette octogramme medallion and equally red ragged palmette pendants. It has salmon red inner corners and light blue abrashed extended corners. The red strip style main border showcases a roughly wandering tendril with bitonal sickle leaves, oblique floral stems, and rosettes. There is a hairline end reduction, but otherwise, it is in good condition with a moderate rustic weave and an unusual dark blue field.
