আমেরিকায় উচ্চশিক্ষা ও ডকুমেন্টস:

আপনি আমেরিকায় উচ্চাশিক্ষায় (ব্যাচেলর/মাস্টার্স/পিএইচডি) তে আসতে চাইলে বেশ কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ডকুমেন্টস হাতের কাছে রাখতে হবে। আজকে এই ডকুমেন্টস নিয়ে আলোচনা করবো।

★ ডকুমেন্টস চেকলিস্ট:
১) একাডেমিক ট্রান্সক্রিপ্ট
২) লেটার অফ রিকোমেন্ডেশান (LOR)
৩) স্টেটমেন্ট অফ পারপাস (SOP)
৪) সিভি
৫) জিয়ারি/জিম্যাট স্কোর
৬) ল্যাংগুয়েজ টেস্ট স্কোর (আইইএলটিএস/ডুয়লিংগো/টোফেল)
৭) পাসপোর্ট

★ একাডেমিক ট্রান্সক্রিপ্ট: আপনি যে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে পাশ (ব্যাচেলর/মাস্টার্স) করেছেন সেখান থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের খামে (নাম সহ) আপনার ট্রান্সক্রিপ্ট গুলো রেজিস্ট্রার এর সাইন সহ আপনাকে নিতে হবে।বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের একাডেমিক শাখায় এই কাজগুলো হয়ে থাকে। সেখানে যোগাযোগ করে পুরো প্রসেস জেনে নিবেন। প্রতিটি ট্রান্সক্রিপ্ট এর জন্য কিছু টাকা নিবে, সেটাও ওরা বলে দিবে। নিয়ম হলো, সোজা আপনার ভার্সিটি থেকে আপনার অ্যাপ্লাই করা ভার্সিটিতে পাঠাবে কিন্ত আমাদের দেশে এটা হয় না! আপনাকে ফেডেক্স/দেশ কুরিয়ার (রেকোমেন্ডেড) এর মাধ্যমে এইগুলা পাঠাতে হবে। কতগুলো নিবেন সেটা ডিপেন্ডে করে আপনি কতগুলোতে অ্যাপ্লাই করবেন।কপাল ভালো হলে একটিও লাগবে না। পিডিএফ দিয়েই কাজ চলে যাবে। এইখানে আসার সময় কয়েক কপি নিয়ে আসলেই হয়।

★ লেটার অফ রিকোমেন্ডেশান (LOR):
এটি নিয়ে আলাদা করে লেখার প্ল্যান আছে। তবু ছোট করে বলি। আপনি আপনার শিক্ষক/অফিসের বস এর থেকে এটি নিতে পারেন। যারা আপনাকে চিনে, জানে অনেকদিন ধরে। সচারাচর বাংলাদেশে উনারা বলবে যে আপনি একটি ফাইলে ড্রাফ করে উনাদের দিতে কারণ উনারা অনেক ব্যস্ত থাকেন। উনারা সেটাকে মডিফাই করে নিবেন। সবাই নিজের ব্যাপারে ভালো কথা-ই লিখে আসলে 🤪। এমন ভালো এই দুনিয়ার আর নেই! আপনার অ্যাপ্লাইড ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে আপনার স্যারদের অফিসিয়াল ই-মেইলে লিংক যাবে আপনার LOR টা দেয়ার জন্য। প্যারা তখন শুরু হয়! স্যারদের ফোন দিয়ে রিকোয়েস্ট বা মনে করিয়ে দিতে হয় বার বার! যাই হোক, এটি নিয়ে আরো ডিটেইলস লিখা পাবেন, ইনশাআল্লাহ। এখন ওভারভিউ দিলাম!

★ স্টেটমেন্ট অফ পারপাস (SOP):
এটি নিয়ে পেইজ-এ ডিটেইলস লিখা আছে পড়ে নিলেই হবে। তবে অনেকে কনফিউজড হয়ে যায় এই জায়গায়। অনেক ভার্সিটিতে রিসার্চ ইন্টারেস্ট আর এসওপি আলাদা চায়। এমন হলে ভয় পাওয়ার কিছু নেই। জাস্ট মেইন এসওপি কে দুই ভাগে ভাগ করে নিলেই হবে।

★ সিভি (CV):
আমেরিকাতে অ্যাপ্লাই-এ আপনাকে আমাদের দেশ এর মত গতবাধা সিভি লিখলে লাভ হবে বলে মনে হয় না। সিভি হবে এক পেইজ এর আর এসওপি-তে যা লিখেছেন তা এভয়েড করার ট্রাই করাই বুদ্ধিমান এর কাজ। সব জায়গায় নতুন ইনফরমেশন দেয়ার চেষ্টা করবেন। কারণ এই ডকুমেন্টসই আপনার হয়ে কথা বলবে।

★ জিয়ারি/জিম্যাট স্কোর(GRE/GMAT):
আপনার যদি এই স্কোর এর একটি থাকে আপনি এডমিশন ও ফান্ডিং-এ এগিয়ে থাকবেন সিউর। সো যাদের আছে তারা আগে থেকে ইউনিভার্সিটি সিলেক্ট করে রাখলে এক্সাম এর দিন ৪ টা ইউনিভার্সিটিতে ফ্রি স্কোর পাঠাতে পারবেন। পরে পাঠালে টাকা লাগবে।আপনি আপনার স্কোর এর একটি পিডিএফ করে রাখবেন। অনেক সময় এইটা দিয়েই কাজ হয়ে যায়।

★ ল্যাংগুয়েজ টেস্ট স্কোর (IELTS/Duilingo/Tofel):
আপনার ল্যাংগুয়েজ টেস্ট স্কোর যদি আইইএলটিএস-এ ৬.৫ (No band less then 6)/ডুয়োলিংগো-তে ১১০ এবং টোয়েফলে ৮০ (এইগুলো মিনিমাম) হয় তাহলে আপনি তামাম দুনিয়ায় সব জায়গায় এপ্লাই করতে পারবেন। স্কোর এর পিডিএফ করে রাখবেন। আর ভার্সিটি কনফার্ম হলে অফিসিয়ালি স্কোর পাঠাবেন। আইইএলটিএস-এ ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিল থেকে এক্সাম এর পর ফ্রি বেশ কয়েকটা ইউনিভার্সিটিতে অফিসিয়াল স্কোর পাঠানো যায়।টোফেল/ডুয়লিংগো-তে ও এই ব্যাবস্থা আছে।

★ পাসপোর্ট :
এপ্লাই এর সময় লাগেনি আমার। কিন্ত তবু মেইন পেইজটি পিডিএফ করে রেখে দিবেন। কাজে লাগতে পারে।

সবশেষে যদি বলি, সবকিছু স্ক্যান করে পিডিএফ করে রাখবেন। আর ভারসিটি এর এপ্লিকেশন পোর্টালে আপলোড করে দিবেন। এখন অনেক ভার্সিটিতে শুধু পিডিএফ দিয়েই কাজ চলে যায়। এইটা হলে সোনায় সোহাগা! আপনার অনেক খরচ এর পাশাপাশি হ্যাসেল কমে যাবে। সো পিডিএফ মাস্ট!

Greetings to everybody! I hope life is treating you all well. despite the arrival of winter.
