Building the Next Generation of Leadership
At U.S. Crane & Rigging, the future of the industry has always been built through hands-on experience, technical education, and generational mentorship under the direct and continuing supervision of NYC Master Riggers and Hoist Machine Operators. This month, we proudly congratulate Austin Auringer on earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Dakota College of Engineering and Mines, continuing a family legacy that has helped shape the tower crane, precast, steel, and rigging industry for more than four decades.
From crane operators and master riggers to engineers, accountants, and office staff, U.S. Crane & Rigging remains committed to training the next generation of industry leaders. Our teams combine old-school hands-on experience with modern engineering, safety standards, and advancing crane technologies to prepare for the future of construction. We are building the next generation of crane operators, steel erectors, precast erectors, tower crane technicians, mechanics, and master riggers. Our company continues to invest in ongoing technical training for Favco, Potain, and Liebherr equipment to stay ahead of new manufacturing upgrades, maintenance procedures, and operational efficiencies. even advising on efficiency for upcoming models.

New Project Alert: 2 World Trade Center
Construction is set to begin on 2 World Trade Center, the final tower of the WTC complex and a true landmark project. Developed by Silverstein Properties and built by Turner Construction, the 55-story, 1,226-foot tower—designed by Foster + Partners—will serve as the global headquarters for American Express.
We’re proud to continue our long-standing relationship with Rogers & Sons Concrete, Inc., a union contractor with whom we’ve worked for more than two decades. Their team, led by Antonio Rodrigues—who also serves on the board of the Cement League—previously performed the concrete scope at 4 World Trade Center, bringing proven experience back to the site. Construction will be supported by two internal Favco 440 tower cranes climbing the core of the superstructure. Work is scheduled to begin in Spring 2026. The crane to the left of this rendering is actually our Potain MR 295 located at 45 Park Place. Crane engineering will be provided by Valjato Engineering P.C.

At 8 Carlisle Street, our green Potain MR 608 tower crane continues to set the pace on this 64-story residential skyscraper. Five sections were added above the collar, raising the crane's height to the 41st floor to support the building’s rapid vertical progress. Superstructure operations are being carried out by Cross Country Contractors, in coordination with the International Union of Operating Engineers. The project is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Grubb Properties, with crane engineering provided by Valjato Engineering P.C.
