Artist Noemi Kozikowska was enlisted to design églomisé panels for the powder room. The client suggested a dragon motif, which has personal meaning to her.⁠

"The designer may have packed the biggest punch into the smallest room. Deciding how to make the powder room pop, Hines thought of églomisé, the technique of coating the back of glass panels with gold or silver leaf. He asked the client to suggest a theme, and she told him that dragons had personal meaning for her. Hines collaborated with Noemi Kozikowska, a Polish-born artist living in Canada, to come up with a design that wrapped a dragon around all four walls. “We wanted to keep the dragon elegant, not cartoony and not scary,” says Hines, who had the panels made by Agency Custom. "⁠

Toasters aren’t waterproof, and other inspiring revelations

I was the little kid that took the toaster apart to figure out how it was assembled, I was the teenager that wanted to know the magician's secrets and I'm now the adult that is never afraid of trying something new and still is enthralled by how things work. I’ve turned my sense of curiosity and passion for creation into a career. The idea of pushing boundaries and helping create work that is both beautiful and meaningful fuels me every day.

Did you know that Buitink- technology can produce and install printed cladding walls for buildings such as swimming pools? For example these beautiful tensioned printed walls that were delivered and installed for the swimming pool "Helsdingen" in Vianen.

This project was based on 4 tensioned walls, having full color prints. Slangen+Koenis architects were responsible for the design. The acoustics in the swimming pool were significantly improved using gauze fabric and acoustic wool as materials of the construction.
