Opportunity Spotlight: Jokes on Her Comedy Prize!

$5,000 for the funniest new comedy you've never seen produced. Jokes On Her is on the hunt for the next great comedic playwright, and we're proud to say one of our own collective members, kaliswa sits on their board.

The prize: a $5,000 grant, an industry reading in NYC and a spot in the "Women Writing Comedy for the Stage" Q&A at The Drama Book Shop.

Open to women (identifying and femmes inclusive) playwrights, 21+, based in the US or Puerto Rico. Original, unproduced, full-length comedies only.

Are you ready for the event of the year?

The BTU Gala is a night to celebrate all we’ve accomplished together and look toward the work still ahead. From Broadway Bound and BTU RISE to the Design Expo and the artists and artistry shaping American theatre, we’re bringing the community together for an evening of celebration, connection, and purpose.

Come celebrate the work. Come honor the artists. And come help fund the future of American theatre.

From the first day to the final celebration, BTU RISE interns showed us what happens when young professionals are given the space, support, and opportunity to learn, grow, and find their voice.

BTU Collective members Kalyne Coleman and Erica A. Hart, CSA reflect on witnessing that growth firsthand and the impact this experience had on the interns.

This is what investment looks like. This is the work. And there’s still more to do.
