I appreciate a well organized and stocked discount/deals store. I just bought velvety hangers for a FRACTION of what I would spend at other stores (that will not be named.) πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Admittedly, these places can be a mixed bag quality-wise, but give them a chance- you never know what you’ll find.
I’m smiling!!

πŸ™Œ Systems are the key to keeping organized πŸ™Œ

Decluttering is step 1.
Organizing is step 2.
Systems are step 3.

If your goal is to maintain your organization on your own, then you must develop a system for doing so. This means making decisions about how often, what time, and who is doing the maintenance.

For example, every day my partner will pick up the children's playroom, after dinner. Or, once a week I will check my mailbox and sort the mail after I get home from work.

This may feel arduous at first, but without a solid plan (system) it's likely the old patterns that created disorganization in the first place will rear its ugly head!

Systems can morph and change depending on your needs or how well it's working, but having one set in place first, is key.πŸ”‘

If you have a lot of storage bins, it's important to label them neatly! Adhesive label pockets can be just the trick. Depending on the size of your bin, decide how large you want your label, and buy inserts you can print out on your computer. Don't forget to create a database for easy lookup on contents and location. πŸ‘

Happy New Year! Was staying organized one of your resolutions?
Get ahead of it!
πŸ“Make plans now to keep your systems running efficiently.
πŸ“Everyone has hotspots in their home that get messiest the fastest.
πŸ“Assign who is tidying that area and how often. It helps to keep a dry-erase or noticeboard on the wall or keep a shared online calendar, so everyone stays accountable.

I love organizing papers! A recent client needed to sift through and find tax documents from the past three years. We worked together to create piles for each, and now they have what they need to send to their accountants.
This work is so gratifying and the sense of relief cannot be underestimated!

De-Cluttering can be really opening and freeing....and at the same time, edgy and confronting!

We can cling to items that aren't who we are or don't make sense in our way of life because:
*They represent the past
*They were gifts
*People told us we should have them
*Or simply because we don't have the bandwidth to take the time to release them

I have had people tell me after they rid themselves of possessions that were "taking up space":
*They had ideas for new projects
*Began taking lessons and classes they had been putting off

Even in cases where people initially regretted letting something go, they ultimately were relieved.

Quote it! "Whatever moves out has the opportunity to create space with promise where stagnancy and heaviness existed before." ~
