I loved you your whole life , I will miss you the rest of mine. Sam Beau Gilman aka Bubba, Bubbie, Samwell, Samantha… You were one of a kind! The most loving, relentless mother-f**ker the was but you were our mother-f**ker and you were my “person”! we spoke our own language. They broke the mold after you. You loved tennis more than your father. And had to eat an entire tennis ball every day for 8 years to prove it. You gave us unconditional love and kept us on our toes. You had at least 9 lives in your 16 1/2 years on this earth. I hope you are running around playing with a tennis ball and seeing all your friends. Please take care of Leo for us and tell him how much we miss him. You will forever be in our hearts.

This first photo was my first chemo (clearly I was high as a kite from the drugs) I had no idea what was in store for the next year and I have no idea what the future holds but today, on I am alive and living life! I am thankful for my amazing doctors, friends and family, without them I am nothing. **kcancer

This bottle….
I have so much to say about this bottle. This one little bottle can save my life… it can also make me so sick that I might not be able to take it… I have feared this bottle for a while now because it has so much power. When I was on chemo I knew it was working and I handled it well I actually said I wished I could stay on it because at least I know I can handle it… but this bottle holds way to much power!
It is a maintenance drug that can literally save my life. If this works and I am NED for the next two years while I am on it my chances of survival go up!
The craziest part of this is it works better for people with BRCA + mutations, like 70% chance it works …better.
So let me remind you again… if you are BRCA positive you have a much greater risk of having
Ovarian , Breast , pancreatic and even prostate for men
Cancers…. but if you do get breast or ovarian cancer and are BRCA positive this little bottle can help you keep the beast away… so the thing you wish you don’t have can actually help you! I know it makes no sense at all but here we are!
This bottle also comes with a bunch of side effects but as my friend always says don’t give the pain a voice! I am determined to not give it a voice and live life to its fullest. I am by no means out of the woods and to remind you again…. There is no cure for Ovarian Cancer. My life expectancy according to the stats is 5 years! F**k the stats!!!
Please keep praying for me and all the women that are living this hell they call Ovarian Cancer( with no cure) we need it!! Especially on this day last day of Ovarian Cancer awareness month and the day I open the bottle. **kovariancancer **kcancer

Happy F**K CANCER FRIDAY!
THANK YOU ALL for your prayers & positive vibes they worked. I am officially NED ( no evidence of disease!!! A huge thank you to my amazing Dr. Rauh-Hain nobody cares more! Another shout out to my family and friends for making this nightmare a bit easier to go through! I love you all. As I have said in the past there is NO cure for Ovarian Cancer NED is the best possible outcome. Now on to a maintenance drug to hopefully stay NED. I will use my journey to educate and bring awareness to OC and the importance of genetic testing…stay tuned!!!

Happy (f**k cancer Friday) Monday will be 12 weeks post big ass surgery! The good news is I am DONE with chemo YAY! It is definitely a bitter sweet feeling. While on chemo you know it is keeping the beast away, after chemo you have no idea when it will come back but you know it will. There is NO cure for Ovarian Cancer… yes you read that correctly NO cure. I won’t bore you with the survival rate stats but let’s just say they are not good. HOWEVER the silver lining is I am BRACA positive (It is not a good thing to have a BRCA mutation because there is a much higher chance you will get OC or BC ) but if you do have it like I do the maintenance drugs seem to work better. Go figure the thing you don’t want ends up helping you! I go to MDA next week to hopefully hear I am NED ( no evidence of disease) 🙏
I am feeling good not great, still pretty weak.
Hair is there just not a lot of it. I do love my long hair and braids… things I never had before so why not!
As always thank you all for your messages they mean more than you know…
It is Ovarian Cancer awareness month… which is so ironic because most women don’t find out they have OC until it is stage 3-4!!! So please please get genetic testing it can say your life.

Sara posted this as her this past Monday which happened to be my 59th birthday. It was like she knew I needed to see that mug on my birthday…Birthdays are interesting when you have cancer. You never know if you will get another one… as I head to Houston today for tests and surgery 🙏I know what it says on Sara’s mug is why god chose me… I truly believe god gives us what we can handle. I got this. As Sara’s mug says I WILL overcome what I am going through now and I PRAY it will be someone else’s survival guide. Thanks universe and for the pep talk! Please get BRCA and mutation tested! Now
