In fact, just last night, I saw a “ successful coach” being called out for copying someone else’s post and client results word for word.

DM Sales VS Sales calls?

Really, there’s no competition.

When you run a business, you have to have a point of sale where people buy from you.

There’s a big debate about how DM sales are better than Sales calls. 🤔

And that’s not true; its all subjective.

Some people thrive on Sales calls while others thrive with DM sales. 🔥

I offer both in my business- but I know there are a lot of people who want to move away from sales calls NOT because they don’t enjoy them, but they are discovering they are saving more time and can talk to more people when they do DM Sales.

Here’s a few reasons why DM sales( why you should implement a DM sales strategy in your business today).

💃🏾You don’t have to show up at a scheduled time and speak for 60-90 minutes.
🔸Imagine what you can do with those extra 60-90 minutes on a daily basis.

💃🏼You don’t have to think on the spot.. While some people are quick -others need time to think about their responses so the information is landing the way it needs to …

💃🏻You have children that you need to tend to and it's easier to chat it up in the DMs so you don’t need to be on edge and uncomfortable on a sales calls.

💃🏾You may be a people pleaser or over giver and on the sales call, you don’t check your boundaries. When you DM, you can take your time to check in with yourself to make sure you are honoring your boundaries.

💃🏽Increase your efficiency–

🔸There are so many sales calls you can take in a day, especially if you don’t have a sales team helping you out. Think about it– how many live sales convos can you have in a day without draining all your energy? 5,, 8, 10?

With DM sales conversations, you can have 5-10 sales convos a day-- simultaneously without feeling overwhelmed.

DM conversations can help as a pre-qualifier before you even hop on the sales calls.

So if a sales call is still needed - you can reduce the amount of time to about 15-20 minutes to discuss working with you and answer any last minute questions your lead may have.

And when, and if you do get on the phone, you know the person is already pre-sold to work with you.

Tracking leads get a bad rap....

When did tracking & analyzing data become unsexy?

I used to work for corporate & every month I would sit in the way too long all hands meetings but my ears perked up when they started to talk about metrics

🤑How much money they made
🤑 Their financial goals for the end of the quarter
🤑Their marketing & sales strategy
🤑Who they are targeting

When it comes to tracking leads --it s simply about collecting data to check the pulse of your biz.

Service based business are built on relationships and all relationships start with a conversations.

Since we are dealing with human beings and NOT products..we have to track conversations & buyer behavior to gauge interest & project sales.

If you're talking to 20-50 peeps a day--how can you remember every single conversation? 🤔

Putting leads on a lead tracker who expresses interest in working with you is NOT Icky; it's smart business.

✅The basics ( Name, email, IG handle, etc)
✅Lead Status ( Hot, Warm, Cold)
✅ Buyer typer ( Analytical, Amiable, etc)
✅ Lost/Won Business/
✅ Labels to identify where we are at in the convo ( prospecting,
nurturing, dm conversations, etc).
✅ KPIs ( # of hot leads, sales calls booked, links sent, etc).

I use Trello to track my leads, but you can do this in Click Up , Asana, or Google Sheets.

If you don't like tracking leads, at the very least, start a collection in Instagram and save all your leads. This way you know who you warmest and hottest leads are at all times!

Stop saying leads are not self led because they didn't buy now.....

Can we stop putting blame on your lack of sales on leads?

When someone does not buy on the first inquiry wiith you that does not mean they are a bad lead, unaligned, or not self led, okay?

The truth is there are many factors that determine if a lead buys immediately or not..,.

So when someone doesn't buy right away don't rule them out as not empowered.....
here are a few reasons why they don't buy right now...

🤯They may not really be ready to invest but just curious about your offers

🤯They don't trust you enough yet

🤯They don't see the value in your offer

🤯You didn't do a good job overcoming their objection

🤯You didn't build a strong relationship with them

🤯They found out you were a liar

🤯Shocker : After asking you questions, and analyzing their wants, needs, investment level, they decided what they thought they wanted is not really what they need so its not a fit at this time.

Of course, there will always be time wasters and tire kickers, but its easy to spot them & eliminate them from the sales convo but I am talking about people who take a keen interest in your offers.

And let's always remember, a no right now doesn't mean a no forever. So, if you are getting a lot of no's and objections --its time to stop blaming the leads and start analyzing your sales process, ok?! 😜

Before my husband was my husband, he was just a guy I met on Tinder. 😘

I was dating other guys at the time…🤯

The other guys would call or text me when it was convenient for them…❌

Think: The people who only reach out to you when they have something to sell. 🤢

😍But, my husband was consistent – he would call/text me every day, multiple times a day.

💃🏾He was showing me he was interested in getting to know me better and strengthen and deepen the relationship.

So, of course, I took a keen interest in him. Not only because he was invested in getting to know me, but him and I were on the same page with so many of our values, morals, and future goals.

💃🏾He continued to nurture the relationship even before I became his girlfriend or we became intimate.

What does my love story have to do with attracting aligned leads?

So, I hear a lot of people say they don’t follow up, or reach out to clients, because they want clients to come to them– and that’s fine.

However, some of those clients are out there “dating” other coaches to determine who are the right fit for them.

Nowadays, everyone is saying the same thing and doing the same thing so it’s hard to differentiate who can truly help them.

The biggest factor that will determine that is how you build, nurture, and strengthen RELATIONSHIPS with your leads.

This doesn’t mean you need to be DMing leads every day talking about their whole life story- but it does mean that you should make the effort to build a relationship with the leads who are interested in your offer.

🔥The ones that you take time to reply to and engage with I promise you it doesn’t go unnoticed. Even if you have a team member representing your brand, they will know that you take investing in relationships seriously and will be more likely to invest in you.

Follow -UP with your leads.....

Because people are not obsessed with you as much as you want them to be! 🤯

You know there's a thing called life...

Just because someone was interested in your offer and they dont buy when you wanted them to doesnt mean they are NOT self led... they are human....

🤯so they forget
🤯they have mom /dad brain
😳Dare I say it , they have more important things happening in their life than to be obsessively stalking you....

🤔Or maybe, they liked you at some point and something in your interaction with them shifted. Maybe they didn't like your approach or felt shamed, or got a different vibe from you after the convo?

Can we stop making people feel like s**t because they don't buy as soon as you send them the link?

For the love of God, some coaching programs cost more than they pay for their cars.

I don't know about you but every time I paid for one of my cars, I took my time to think about the purchase since they were high 5 figure investments!

There's a difference between following up and chasing clients.

☑️You can follow up with a client and if they say no, you can either lovingly overcome their objection if you feel they want in but are scared...

☑️Or you can thank them and tell them to reach out again whenever they are ready. Or send them resources that may help them until they are ready to work with you or someone else.

Hey, the last time we chatted you expressed interest in ABC to help you with XYZ. I'd love to support you--Are there any additional questions I can answer for you so you can determine if this is the right fit for you?

Hey! I wanted to reconnect with you to see how everything is going for you? Last time we spoke you mentioned you were interested in working together. Does that still feel aligned to you? 🙂

WHAT CONVERSION RATE CAN YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU HIRE ME AS YOUR LEAD GEN AND ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST?

The truth, the real truth, and nothing but the truth: IT DEPENDS!

Let's hear the tale of 3 coaches:

Once upon a time in Internet Coaching land, there were 3 IMPACT DRIVEN coaches who dreamed of increasing their conversion rate and attracting more aligned clients.

So, they decided to get support but they quickly realized not all of them got the same results in a month period.

RESULTS :

Client A: 4 sales calls booked

Client B: 2 sales calls booked

Client C: 0 sales calls booked

A lead gen and engagement specialist's job is not convert clients. Their job is to find leads, start conversations, pre-qualify leads, and follow up with leads.

Their actions can help you reach your conversation rate but this responsibility doesn't fall on them alone.

You have to do your part too! Clients are NOT going to buy from you if you don't show how you can help them.....

So, you have to talk about your story, your method and more importantly : How you can help your ideal client get the results they want.

You need to have a solid marketing strategy. I don't care if it's only Instagram but wherever you are- at the very least, you need to:

30 MINS A DAY OR AN HOUR A DAY FOR YOUR LEAD GENERATION AND ENGAGEMENT NEEDS?

NEITHER! 🤯
Let me explain:

🏋🏾Believe it or not I used to be a big time health nut. I was addicted to working out and "diet culture".

So, I would spend 2 hours a day at the gym and wear it as a badge of honor.

1 hour body pump -- 1 hour treadmill,elliptical,stair master - insert whatever cardio machine.

😬 I was obsessed about how much time I was spending in the gym and thinking it was the best thing ever!

🔥Enter personal trainer I hired... She changed the game!

It was a group personal training program but we finished in 30 minutes 3x a week. Much different than my 6x a week, 2 hour a day schedule.

I hated her after every session. Lovingly, of course. LOL. 🤣

She pushed me to my limits but she focused on what mattered to move me forward my with goals: Building muscle; losing weight.

💃🏾No surprise! I hit my goals much faster with her directing me and guiding me and focusing on the things that matter most.

It wasn't about the amount of time spent but deploying the right exercises to help me hit my goals faster ( in a healthy way).

So, when it comes to Lead Gen and Engagement-- It's not about the amount of time spent in the account. It's about:

⚡️ Focusing on the right strategies to keep your biz moving forward.

⚡️Keeping conversations going with your warmest/hottest leads

⚡️ Nurturing and strengthening relationships in the DMs to warm your audience up to you so they are primed and ready to buy your offers.

You can get results much faster if you focus on the right things at the right time without worrying about how much time it takes to achieve.

Does that mean I am in your account for only 5 minutes a day? Absolutely not, but when I am in your account I am intentional about starting conversations with your warmest/hottest leads to get them closer to making a decision to work with you.

ARE YOU SENDING DICK PICKS IN THE DM'S?

✅You know what I mean. You see a lead- then you slide into their DM's and are like : Hey girl, buy my s**t because I just know you are going to love it!

Here's the thing: We are all in business to solve problems and make bank while doing so. It's no secret, we need clients to make that happen.

We are all in business - so we know that people are always going to try to sell to us. It's all about the approach. 💃🏾

Put it this way. Who would you rather go on a date with?

A. The guy who saw you and immediately sent you a dick pic to try to get a date with you? 🤮

B. The guy who took his time to get to know you, ask questions, and take a genuine interest in your life to see if you are even open to dating. Then, ask you out on a date if you are vibing after a few exchanges? 😍

Even if guy B's ultimate goal is to get in your draws-- he's taken extra effort to get your attention and shows you that he wants to get to know you beyond the physical.

So many talented business people slide in my DMs and they often lose the sale because :

❌They pitch right away
❌They don't connect with me
❌They try to interview me like I am asking for a job
❌They never engage back- only when they are launching something.

It's like the guy who calls you over at 3am for a b***y call- then you never hear from them again until the next b***y call page. ICK! 😬

🤷🏾‍♀️How about having a conversation to connect and let it flow naturally to see where it goes? Of course, there are ways to lead the conversation without making the human on the other side feel like a meal ticket.
