Most of us grew up believing that we just have to keep going, no matter how heavy life feels. We always have to be available for everyone else: get everything done, handle a thousand little things without complaining, and the list goes on. Our own needs stay at the very bottom of the list.
That kind of pressure always catches up with you sooner or later. Many of us tend to mask our mental health struggles so it doesn't always look like like a loud breakdown. Sometimes burnout is simply feeling overstimulated all the time, getting irritated over the smallest things, or realizing you don’t even remember who you are. Even though you you’re good at “holding it together” and pretending everything is fine, no one notices you’re drowning, until you just can’t take it anymore.
We shouldn’t have to wait until we’re completely broken to ask for help. We need spaces where it’s okay to be honest, where resting doesn’t feel like failure, and where people actually listen instead of minimizing what you’re going through.
Real health isn’t just about surviving the week. It’s about having a life where you’re supported before everything falls apart. You deserve the same energy, the same love, and the same patience you give to everyone else.
