Today mark’s the one-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, which held that Title VII’s prohibition of workplace s*x discrimination extends to bias based on s*xual orientation and gender identity.
New Yorkers are protected from anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination under federal, state, and local laws.

Yesterday was the 67th anniversary of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case of Brown vs. Board of Education that unanimously ruled that racial segregation of children in public schools was unconstitutional. Chief Justice Warren declared that the separation of Black children "from others of similar age and qualifications solely because of their race generates a feeling of inferiority as to their status in the community that may affect their hearts and minds in a way unlikely ever to be undone."

The photo shows Elizabeth Eckford, of the Little Rock Nine, being harassed while trying to get to class at her all-white school 3 years after Brown vs. Board of Education was issued.
