As conversations around voting, policy, public health, and community priorities continue to grow, one thing remains clear:

People want to feel heard.

Health equity does not begin with solutions.
It begins with listening.

Not surface-level listening but listening that is:

• Intentional
• Honest
• Uncomfortable when necessary
• Grounded in lived experience

Too often, leadership moves quickly to respond before fully understanding the people most impacted.

But meaningful leadership requires more than speaking.

It requires creating space for voices that are often overlooked, dismissed, or unheard.

Whether in healthcare, education, sports, government, or the workplace; trust is built when people believe their experiences matter.

Listening is not passive.
It is a leadership practice.

As we move into another season of civic engagement and decision-making, the question is not only: “Are leaders speaking?”

But also:
“Are leaders truly listening to the people they serve?”

If this is the kind of leadership culture you want to foster within your organization, team, or community, connect with Dr. Tati here: https://forms.office.com/r/RqK1V06Vkf

Where Are Women Still Unseen?

Let's have an honest conversation.

Not a comfortable one. An honest one.

Women are still walking into healthcare and wellness spaces and walking out feeling like their concerns were too much, too emotional, or simply not believable.

Pain minimized. Symptoms dismissed. Needs filtered through systems that were never designed with them in mind.

This isn't a minor inconvenience, it's a pattern. And patterns don't change on their own.

Awareness is not the finish line. Accountability is.
So I'm asking directly:

👉 Where have you felt unseen in a space designed to support your health?
Is it:
🔹 Pain that was brushed off?
🔹 Concerns that required you to fight to be believed?
🔹 A lack of culturally competent care?
🔹 Systems that ignore the reality of your responsibilities?

Drop your truth in the comments. Your experience matters — and so does the change it can inspire.

If you're ready to bring these conversations into your organization, conference, or community, I'd love to connect.

Congratulations to The Factory on celebrating one year as a beautiful and welcoming community space in West Baltimore.

The Factory is more than a building. It is a place where community, wellness, youth programming, workforce development, entrepreneurship, food access, and partnership can come together to support West Baltimore residents.

Dr. Tati was grateful to spend time in this space and wanted to recognize Kurt Sommer for his longstanding commitment to community-centered work. After more than a decade of working together through Bon Secours and LifeBridge Health, she shared that one thing remains clear: he truly gets it.

Spaces like The Factory matter because they create room for connection, collaboration, healing, and impact.

Congratulations again to The Factory on this milestone. We hope the organizations and community members who use this space will continue to support it, promote it, and help strengthen its mission.

Mother’s Day invites us to pause and reflect on the many ways care shows up in our lives.

For some, motherhood is biological. For others, it is chosen, spiritual, communal, professional, or deeply personal. It can look like nurturing children, mentoring young people, caring for family, holding a team together, advocating for community, or creating spaces where others feel safe, supported, and seen.

Today, we honor the mothers, mother figures, caregivers, aunties, mentors, and women who lead with wisdom, sacrifice, protection, and love.

We also make space for those for whom this day brings grief, longing, complexity, or reflection. Love and care are not always simple, but they are always worthy of tenderness.

May this Mother’s Day be a reminder that caring for others must also include caring for ourselves.

Happy Mother’s Day from Dr. Tati and the Just TATI Team!

Public health starts with mental health.

If we are serious about health equity, mental health and wellness must be a top priority across our organizations, communities, and systems of care.

Normalizing mental health starts with creating safe spaces—spaces where people can speak honestly, be supported without judgment, and be given room to move through difficult seasons with dignity.

Wellness is not just an individual responsibility. It is shaped by access, environment, culture, leadership, and the systems people navigate every day.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, the question is:
What kind of space is your organization creating?

Do you want Dr. Tati to lead a discussion or training for your team on mental health, health equity, or workforce wellbeing?

There’s something powerful about being in a room where people aren’t just learning—they’re showing up ready to collaborate, challenge themselves, and build something meaningful together.

At the inaugural Human Capital Quarterly and Upskilling Summit, we didn’t just talk about the future of work, we experienced it.

From conversations across energy, climate, and health to actually using AI to solve real-world problems, the day was full of ideas, innovation, and action.

And during a week where we’re also recognizing Earth Day, it felt like an important reminder:

The future we’re building with technology has to also protect and sustain the world we all share.

Not just innovation for the sake of progress but innovation with intention.
Sustainable. Equitable. Human-centered.

So grateful for the incredible teams, speakers, partners, and community who made this experience possible. It truly felt like something bigger than just an event.

✨ We’re just getting started.

If you’ve been thinking about growing your skills, exploring AI, or being part of a community that’s building what’s next—this is your sign.

Workforce wellbeing isn’t a “nice to have”—it’s a strategic priority.

When organizations invest intentionally in the wellbeing of their people, the impact shows up everywhere: stronger performance, higher retention, and more effective, values-driven leadership.

But this isn’t just about wellness programs.
It’s about how we lead, how we communicate, how we build trust, and how we create environments where people can actually thrive, not just survive.

The organizations getting this right are:
• Prioritizing psychological safety and culture
• Equipping leaders with real, practical tools, not just theory
• Aligning workforce strategy with long-term impact and sustainability

The result? Healthier teams. Stronger outcomes. More resilient organizations.

If your team is ready to move from intention to implementation, let’s connect.

Happy Earth Day. 🌍

Earth Day is a reminder that the future we build must be rooted in intention.

As we think about innovation, leadership, health, and the future of work, we also have to think about the world we are shaping together. Progress cannot just be fast. It has to be thoughtful. Sustainable. Equitable. Human-centered.

The choices we make personally, professionally, and collectively matter.

How we design systems.
How we use resources.
How we embrace technology.
How we care for communities.

All of it is connected.

Today is a reminder that caring for our environment is not separate from caring for people. It is part of the same work.

May we continue building a future that honors both innovation and responsibility.

I’m always intentional about lifting up work that centers community voice, especially when it comes to health equity.

Planned Parenthood of Maryland Inc. has launched the Black Women’s Health Equity Initiative (BWHEI) a powerful effort focused on advancing sexual and reproductive health for Black women across every stage of life.

This initiative exists because the reality is clear:

Black women continue to experience gaps in care, trust, and support, and their voices are too often missing from the solutions.

This is an opportunity to change that.

They are hosting a series of Community Charrettes (April 22–24), safe, structured spaces for Black girls, women, trans, and nonbinary individuals to share real experiences and help shape more responsive systems of care.

Participants will:
-Share lived experiences navigating sexual & reproductive health
-Reflect on what has and has not been supportive
-Help inform future programs and services

Details:
In-person (Baltimore City & County) + Virtual options
-4–5 hours per session
-$100 stipend + meals provided
- Extended interest deadline: Thursday, April 16
- Selected participants will be notified by Friday, April 17

-> Apply here: https://lnkd.in/ebYbW88t

If this speaks to you or you know someone whose voice should be included in this conversation please share.

Because equity is not just about access.
It is also about who gets to be heard in shaping the future of care.

Leadership is not a single skill.
It is a combination of awareness, discipline, adaptability, and integrity.

Too often, leadership is simplified into one strength — communication, strategy, or vision.
But in practice, leadership requires the ability to navigate multiple demands at once while staying aligned with values and long-term goals.

That’s why the HeptathLife Framework was created.

Inspired by the heptathlon, it recognizes that strong leadership is not about excelling in one area — it’s about managing multiple “events” simultaneously with clarity, intention, and consistency.

The leaders who create sustainable impact are not the ones doing the most.
They are the ones who know:
• What to prioritize
• When to adapt
• How to stay disciplined
• And how to lead with integrity across every decision

Leadership is not about perfection.
It’s about alignment.
