Usually, it’s a standalone web page, specifically created for marketing purposes.

Here are some things to keep in mind when working with landing pages:

1. Clear objective.

What do you want from your visitors?

You should set a clear objective that should go hand in hand with the marketing campaign’s goal.

2. Short form.

Keep your lead generation form as short as possible, the less actions are required, the higher your chances for a conversion.

3. Clear message.

When users land on the page, the message should engage them fast.

If your message is clear enough, users will stay to discover more about your business.

4. Clear call to action.

The Call to Action is what will make them convert.

A strong CTA will make users feel that they really need what you’re offering them.

If the message is clear and users will stay to find out more, with a poor CTA you will lose them.

5. Relevant with ad.

The Landing Page should always contain the same idea or message you included in the Ad visual for your campaign.

If these don’t correlate you’ll have very high bounce rates.

High performing websites are as important as having good looking ones.

Page load times have a substantial impact on sales and marketing.

Here are some best practice steps that you can take in order to speed up your site:

1. Use a fast web server or proxy server.

A decent hosting plan can have unexpected results when it comes to fast loading times.

The type of server is also massively important, currently the fastest options for websites are servers using OpenLiteSpeed technology combined with their own caching engine for most sites.

2. Enable Caching

A strong caching engine will dramatically decrease loading times even for uncached pages.

When using LiteSpeed, LSCache engine is the perfect fit for both Wordpress and Magento sites.

There are a myriad of other caching engines that do a great job, just make sure you have something installed.

3. Reduce the DNS lookup time

This is again tied to your hosting and their DNS servers.

Decent hosting will have short DNS lookup times resolving this issue right off the bat.

4. Database table and query optimization

Problems within the DB are usually present in sites that don’t use popular CMS’s as Wordpress or Magento, even so, these CMS’s may still run into DB issues if the platforms are old.

We suggest running scripts and plugins that optimize DB’s and tables in order to speed up the site.

This will not have a major impact unless there are sever problems that are drastically hindering the usability of the website.

5. Enable file compression

Many caching engines do this but aditionally you can run gzip file compressions on all images, html and javascrip codes.

This does wonders and can be placed within your .htaccess file.

6. Audit the plugins and addons

Plugin and extension conflicts are always a pain.

If your site’s performance is hindered, make sure you disable and enable each extension manually and look for obvious improvements within performance when certain ones are disabled.

Once you identify the culprit, replace it or just get rid of it.
