Less Doing

Less Doing Founders often get overwhelmed and feel trapped in their business.

Less Doing coaches successful entrepreneurs to empower their teams and make themselves Replaceable so they can have Focus in their work, Flexibility in their business, and Freedom in their lives. Ultimately, they give up on their mission while destroying their health, finances, and family in the process. We coach successful entrepreneurs to create systems that empower their team and make them repl

aceable. When founders can live with Focus, Flexibility, and Freedom, they create lives and businesses that change the world.

First time on stage in 5 years — and it felt really, really good.

I spoke at Jim Kwik’s Limitless Live event about something I’ve spent the last decade obsessing over:

How AI can help entrepreneurs stop doing more…
and start doing less.

Not less impact —
less friction, less bottlenecks, less reactivity.

AI isn’t the future of productivity.
It’s the future of clarity.

More of this coming soon. 🙌

I met MacGyver’s creator, Lee David Zlotoff, last night — and it hit me how much that show shaped the philosophy behind Less Doing.

MacGyver didn’t win because he had more tools.
He won because he knew how to create results with almost nothing.

That’s the core of everything I teach:
Constraints create innovation.
Restrictions force clarity.
And the best systems are born from limited resources, not unlimited options.

Do more with less.
Or in true MacGyver fashion…
Do more with nothing.

Honored to be featured in — Norway’s largest newspaper — discussing “The Art of Doing Less.”

Most people chase productivity by trying to do more.
But the real unlock — the one that’s changed my life and my clients’ lives — is learning to do less, better.

The article dives into:
• Why working less than an hour a day isn’t a gimmick — it’s a systems outcome
• The biggest mistake high performers make when trying to optimize
• Why “doing less” is a strategic advantage, not a retreat
• How to design a business that grows when you step away, not when you grind harder

If you want to see what replaceability, leverage, and systems actually look like in practice, this is a great snapshot into my philosophy.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the busiest people on the planet.
Movies. Businesses. Wrestling. Fitness. Family.
His schedule is a fortress.

And yet… he almost never takes calls.

According to the New York Times, The Rock prefers to communicate through voice notes.

Think about that:
If he can run billion-dollar empires without living on the phone…
what’s stopping you?

Voice-first, async communication isn’t a “hack.”
It’s the operating system for leaders who want focus, flexibility, and freedom.

I’ve been teaching founders this for years — how to run their companies, coach their teams, and scale themselves without being chained to endless calls and meetings.

If The Rock is doing it, maybe it’s time you did too.

99 times out of 100, I delete emails like this.

But this one? Not bad.

Someone (or maybe someone’s AI) literally wrote a better marketing blurb for my book than I’ve ever written myself:

“The Art of Less Doing should come with a warning label: Caution: may cause readers to fire their to do lists, reclaim their sanity, and confuse their bosses by working less but delivering more.”

That’s outsourcing at its finest — they handed me free marketing copy, and I’m using it.

If you haven’t read The Art of Less Doing yet… maybe take their advice.

And if you want to talk about how to apply it to your own business? Ping me on Carbon → talktoari.com

🐊 PITFALL!—The Business Lesson Hiding in the Vines

When I was a kid, I played Pitfall! on the Atari 2600 for hours.

You’re Pitfall Harry, running through the jungle, dodging snakes, jumping over pits, swinging from vines, and trying to grab treasure before the timer runs out.

The game is brutal. You’re always moving. One wrong step and you fall into a pit. Or a crocodile eats you. And if you loop around the screen too many times, guess what?

You’re back where you started.

Sound familiar?

Most entrepreneurs are stuck in a business version of Pitfall:
• Constant action, but no progress.
• Firefighting instead of treasure hunting.
• No map, just reaction.

And here’s the kicker:
They think that’s what success looks like.

The more they jump.
The more they hustle.
The more pits they avoid.
The more “productive” they feel.

But in reality?
They’re stuck in a loop.

Here’s what I’ve learned after coaching thousands of founders:

✅ You don’t need to move faster—you need to build better platforms.
✅ You don’t need to be more reactive—you need systems that act for you.
✅ You don’t need to swing from the next vine—you need to clear the jungle.

Less Doing is about designing your way out of survival mode.

And the real-life version of building bridges over pits?

➡️ Automation
➡️ Delegation
➡️ Asynchronous communication

Because when you stop playing the same level over and over again…

You finally get to win.

🔥 Big News: Less Doing Labs is now FREE!
For years, I’ve been broadcasting raw, unfiltered insights every week—covering everything from scaling businesses to living with more freedom and less friction.

Now, I’m moving it over to Carbon Voice—and it’s completely FREE to join.
If you want direct access to weekly insider content on optimizing work, automating processes, and living with more purpose, you can join right now: Less Doing Academy.

Why Less Doing Labs Exists:

We live in a world where busyness is glorified.
Back-to-back Zoom calls.
Endless meetings.
Calendar invites.
Notifications that never stop.

But let me ask you something: Is this really what success looks like?

I didn’t build my companies to be a professional meeting attendee.
I built them to create impact.
To innovate.
To live my life on my terms.

The Traditional Model is Broken.

It’s reactive.
It’s intrusive.
It demands your attention right now—no matter what you’re doing.

You’re writing an email, and Slack pings you.
You’re working on a strategy, and the calendar alerts you of a “quick sync.”
You’re with your family, and your phone buzzes with a “one last thing” text.

We’ve blurred the lines between work and life—not in a healthy, integrated way, but in a chaotic, soul-crushing way.

Asynchronous Communication Changes Everything.

Instead of chasing the calendar, async lets you control your time.
Instead of reacting to every ping, you batch your responses—on your terms.
Instead of hour-long meetings for five minutes of value, you get straight to the point—clear, concise, and documented.

Async is a liberation tool.

And now, you can learn how to leverage that for FREE.

I’m opening up Less Doing Labs—my private insider podcast—on Carbon Voice.
No cost. No barrier.
Just weekly, raw insights on how to do less and live more.

Most people don’t delegate—they offload.

They pass the task without the playbook.
They pass the pressure without the plan.
Then they wonder why the results suck, or worse—why they keep getting pulled back in.

Delegation without documentation isn’t leadership. It’s laziness dressed up as trust.

If you want your team to execute without you, start by showing them how.
Your future freedom depends on it.

We need to stop freaking out about AI taking jobs—
and start asking why we’re still training people for the jobs AI is guaranteed to take.

Forget teaching compliance, repetition, and predictability.
The future belongs to humans who can do what AI never will:
— Build trust
— Lead with vision
— Take real risks
— Make meaning out of chaos

AI’s not the threat. Misguided training is.

Let’s build a future for creators, leaders, and deep thinkers—not task monkeys.

It’s been a great morning brainstorming in the park with Chris and Erica while our kids enjoyed the beautiful weather. Although we’re not officially running as a team, I couldn’t feel more aligned with these two outstanding individuals. We’ve been working together seamlessly, sharing ideas and crafting initiatives that we believe will truly benefit our district.

It’s refreshing to collaborate with others who share the same dedication and vision for our schools. Respecting the work of the current board and other candidates, we’re excited to bring our unique perspectives to the table. And speaking of alignment, we’re positioned 1, 5, 6 on the ballot—could this be the winning combination for our district?

Looking forward to continuing this journey and making a positive impact together!

Last night, I attended the Princeton School Board meeting, where several important topics were on the agenda. Some of the key discussions included the establishment of an Ad Hoc Superintendent Search Committee, updates on the Superintendent Search Committee’s progress, and a critical update on the referendum project. The Superintendent also provided insights on ACCESS, AI developments in the district, and the upcoming 2025-26 school calendar.

These meetings almost feel like stepping into a scene from a Batman comic, where the council in Gotham is determined to make the city better. There’s a sense of urgency and commitment to tackling the issues that matter most to our community. I’m excited about the prospect of contributing to these efforts through my campaign. Together, we can tackle these complex challenges and create meaningful change in our schools. Let’s continue to push for progress!
