Our team is looking for bin stewards to join us during Earth Month. Reach out if you’re interested in proactively engaging with the public to help them correctly sort their lunch waste into the right bins. Bin stewards will teach people what goes in each bin and answer questions about composting and recycling in general. We’re looking for people who are outgoing and friendly and not afraid to talk to anyone and everyone passing by!

Details:
Location: Lower Manhattan
Schedule: April 21-25 from 11am-3pm
Pay: $24/hr

How cute is this slogan. Very catchy. It’s good that this product is BPI certified.

but in our talks with the haulers in New York City, almost all of them say compostables are taken out of the organic stream at the point of processing . This is why reusables is the way to go. One of the most surprising things we heard was that the anaerobic digestion systems don’t want compostables because they don’t create energy..
