With a heritage dating back to 1908, Le Chardenoux - Cyril Lignac is a quintessential Parisian bistro reimagined with reverence for its history.

Original rococo features sit alongside a richly layered interior inspired by the neighbourhood’s agricultural past, where botanical motifs and natural materials lend warmth and character.

Anchored by a central marble bar beneath a sprawling hand-painted ceiling, the interiors celebrate the simple pleasure of sharing a table.

At Binderton House, the kitchen is an expression of layering, where architecture, colour, pattern and collected objects come together to create a space rich in rhythm and narrative.

Choisy and pewter plates are displayed across the walls, bringing depth and a sense of history to the scheme, while rich orange joinery is balanced with the same green used in the adjoining hallway, allowing the kitchen to feel intrinsically connected to the wider house.

Spanning over two decades of work, the book brings together a selection of projects that have defined the studio’s journey so far.

Each chapter is defined by a single hue, forming a narrative that moves fluidly between eras and moods. It reflects Martin’s enduring belief that colour is not simply decorative, but a language - one that shapes emotion, defines character, and brings a space to life.
