Who’s the hostess with the mostest? This girl!

I’ve been working behind the scenes and taking care of family, but wanted to share that I am honored and excited to be the emcee for TEDxFolsom 2025 - Horizon 2050.

I have been fortunate to emcee events for organizations such as Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), Powered by Women and Running Industry Alliance (RIA) & The Running Conference (TRC), and adding a TEDx stage is a blessing.

When God shows you “I got you!” through the kindness of others.

While I was in transit to a health equity leadership summit this morning, a couple at the airport invited me to join them at the front of the security line so I could make my flight that was in the process of boarding.

Once I got to my destination, a young man who works for the hotel asked me “How may I serve you?” then followed it up with a voucher for breakfast.

This morning has been a beautiful reminder that there are good people in the world and a little kindness can be a game changer.

Don’t let the faults of the world harden you….let them strengthen your resolve to show up bigger and bolder. Take up more space, shine brighter and let them know who you are!

Ready to become resolute? Transformation is not in the goal itself—it is in your daily choices. Here are some tips to implement:

Cultivate a mindset and behaviors that promote your success:
1️⃣ Start by clarifying who you want to become.
2️⃣ Build small, consistent habits that align with your identity.
3️⃣ Celebrate progress, and let go of perfectionism.

Identify your objectives, create a plan and take action:

Shifting from creating resolutions to becoming resolute involves a change in mindset. It's about committing to a purpose and taking consistent actions toward it.

RESOLUTION: ”I want to exercise more.”

BECOMING RESOLUTE: Identifying as someone who values movement, health, and strength—and showing up as that person every day.
Becoming resolute shifts your mindset from simply setting goals to embodying the determination and habits necessary to achieve them. This mindset grounds you in your values, making your actions more consistent and purposeful.
By being resolute, we build resilience and develop a stronger sense of self-discipline. When challenges arise (and they will), a resolute mindset keeps you focused on the bigger picture rather than derailed by setbacks.

Happy New Year! Many of us are thinking about resolutions, but what if, instead, we focused on becoming resolute? Let's shift from making resolutions to becoming resolute.

Although they are aspirational, resolutions are often fleeting, and they are not always actionable. The problem? They focus on what you want to do, but rarely address who you need to become to succeed.

While resolutions often fade away, being resolute means having a firm determination to achieve our goals, no matter the obstacles.
