Congratulations to Roxbury Writers’ summer 2019 resident Brian Patrick on the publication of Mission Matters Business Leaders Vol 4.

Life is good. Couldn't be happier with the amazing group of leaders that have come together for our Virtual Summit and the release of our latest book, Mission Matters Business Leaders Vol 4. Do to the hard work and effort of these authors, this event and book is turning out to be huge success.

Playing my small role in doing the interviews for this event has been one of the highlights of my year.

Join us for this online event which begins Sept. 14th by registering here: https://missionmatters.lpages.co/mission-matters-business-leaders-volume-4/

Congratulations to Roxbury Writers' summer 2019 resident Tracy Mann on the publication of her essay on Brazil.

"Hamilton inaugurated a youth debate group in Serrinha, Grupo Debate, which was affectionately shortened to Gruda-se, meaning to stick to, to glue, to adhere, to take. He taught the older kids, six out of twelve in my boyfriend’s family, about the student movements in France and in the US, played Miles Davis and Nina Simone, explained Marxism and the Cuban revolution. They took the “Gruda-se” imperative to heart, forming deep loyalties to the man who nurtured their future artistic and political paths. “Everything,” my boyfriend’s younger brother wrote me, “that a young person from the country needed to transform idleness into precious time."

Buon ascolto! => https://bit.ly/2JhvjUD

Roxbury Writers’ Residency is thrilled to see the publication of Brian Patrick’s essay, “The Ping of Past and Present,” a personal reflection on his 911 experience. It was an honor to workshop this with Brian this summer and to hear him read from it for our Editors’ Panel.

I’m leaving work a little early on a September afternoon, passing by the same downtown Manhattan streets I’ve seen thousands of times until a glinting spark of silver blue hits my eyes. The Freedom…
