So excited to be joining and .sidney.md and others on Tuesday night to celebrate Isaiah’s new book and brave schools movement! I’ll be performing, facilitating, and speaking on how Isaiah’s ideas around creating brave schools mirror my feelings on how to create a safe and supportive environment for children to process grief. The Brave Schools Movement—a national effort to build school cultures that prioritize student and educator well-being.
📘 The movement is anchored by Dr. Isaiah Pickens’ new book, Trauma-Informed and Culturally Responsive Practices in Schools: Building a Climate of Compassion.
🎤 Join us live in NYC for a Brave Schools event focused on educator mental health, student well-being, and building sustainable, relationship-centered school cultures.
