Would you let an employee come to work drunk? 🍷
No? Then you already know how to handle cannabis at work. 🌿

Same rules, same playbook:
✅ Legal off the clock
❌ Not okay on the clock
✅ Impairment = grounds for action
❌ Suspicion or smell alone = not enough

NY’s cannabis law (MRTA) isn’t as complicated as it feels — it just requires the same standard you’d apply to any other legal-but-impairing substance. The mistake most employers make is overthinking it OR ignoring it entirely.

From an HR perspective, here are simple ways organizations can support employees who are fasting this month:

✔️ Be mindful of meeting times (especially late afternoons)
✔️ Provide quiet space for prayer
