I haven't had any luck finding the owner of a class of '51 ring from. NE Catholic in Philly that I found 10 years ago.

A dive instructor found the well-preserved ring with a metal detector, and then used clues on the ring to try and track down its owner.

The Teknetics T2 Special Edition is still our favorite for inland "off-shore" searches. It is lightweight and can sniff out lost jewelry, artifacts and caches, in even the trashiest environments.

Another recovery with no return. USAF 1958 ring, with Mell Sheila or Sheila Mell crudely engraved. Maybe Sheila and Mell were a thing.

The Nokta Legend is another SMF detector that is great "down the Shore" or "off shore". Its lightweight design allows for lengthy searches with little fatigue for those hard to find valuables.

Minelab Manticore simultaneous multi-frequency (SMF) metal detector. Great in shallow water or dry beach sand, which leaves single frequency detectors ineffective. Visual target ID allows the Manticore to "see" jewelry below the surface.
