A little art deco, a little storybook, a little maximalist fantasy.

Instead of building the wedding around one standout moment, this palette moved in every direction at once — coral, cherry red, marigold, lilac, moss green, sky blue — layered through florals, paper goods, cakes, linens, and signage with almost no negative space left untouched.

This wedding never separated design from culture.

Across two ceremonies, the weekend blended South Asian traditions with a softer, fashion-forward floral direction: watercolor pastels instead of overly saturated palettes, loose garden arrangements instead of rigid symmetry, layered textiles, intricate embroidery, candlelight, and contemporary styling that still honored the significance of each event.

Nothing felt performative or reduced to a trend. The cultural elements weren’t added into the design — they were the design language.

That balance is what made the entire weekend feel so immersive: personal, expressive, celebratory, and deeply connected to the couple themselves.

This wedding understood that Palm Beach is at its best when it feels leisurely.

Guests moved between draped cabanas, citrus-filled cocktail bars, candlelit tables, and poolside touches that felt pulled from a glamorous hotel weekend rather than a traditional wedding playbook. Even the smallest details — Diet Coke bottles on ice, scalloped umbrellas, tiny desserts passed at sunset — added to the atmosphere instead of sitting outside of it.

Most mountain weddings lean heavily into softness. This one leaned into mood.

The storm rolling over the mountains, the deep wine florals, the sharp black tailoring, the stone architecture — everything felt slightly darker, more cinematic, more directional. Even the palette avoided the expected greens and earth tones in favor of contrast and depth.

Cristina & Michael’s wedding at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende paired sculptural ivory draping, satin textures, and candlelit minimalism with the vibrancy of a true San Miguel celebration. Mariachi processions, illuminated performers, oversized puppets, and movement through the property transformed the weekend from elegant to completely immersive.

What started as citrus tucked into tablescapes has evolved into full-scale installations — towers of apricots, cascading grapes, stacked pears, lacquered strawberries, and coconuts woven into the architecture of the celebration itself.
