My photo of Joanna Mari Cosplay as Wonder Woman was used by moviepilot.com as the cover photo/article image for an article about Geek Culture. No credit was given to me as the photographer, nor did they seek to ask my permission to publish my photo (which if they had I would have given them an HQ image not some sh*tty lose res quality that they found), nor did they ask for permission from Joanna.

I guess I just find it interesting that in an article that revolves around the ethics of geek culture, they would so blatantly steal the property of someone else. Yes, this is stealing. And if it wasn't Joanna's photo I would make this a legal matter. The article already has over 13k views and that translates to a lot of money.

It's getting ugly in geekdom...but why? And can we actually believe it's a good thing?
